MC Xander – White Light, 2011 (from all-vocal album ‘eyeopeness’)

www.mcxander.com The whole track is made using only vocals/ beatbox. This is the official final version of White Light – there’s a few older or poor quality versions of this floating around you tube – but this is from the new album ‘eyeopeness’ available at www.mcxander.com Audio quality is a bit better on the album than you tube is allowing here 🙂 Say hi at www.facebook.com Here are the lyrics: We gotta face it head on this time and I’m touching base with the moving inner eye, Farewell brother, we gotta go, Got to open the mind, touch the plateau. When I journey to the base of this pain I place the blame on the one who holds my name and no-one else, deal with the cards I’ve been dealt, I’m about to follow what I’ve always felt. I got the spinning conspiracies evoked close to me, one mans delusion is one mans satori, well I’m feeling the third eye presence, bright luminescence, my hands are shaking with the outside essence. Enough muse on my recent demise, we got the way and the means so we rise, consciously, into the ether. If you remain true to yourself they will be believe you. I hold this close to me, you gotta know I hold this close to me. Now elevate up from a place mundane, without the pulse of fear pushing terror to my brain, they can keep their backward mindset I’ll defect and show the world what I’m seeing yet. Learning to expose the lie, we are falling to another dawning I hear the warning sign as calamity clamours for popularity I’m left trying to justify why

MC Xander ‘Spaceship Earth’

www.mcxander.com ‘Check this I’m sick of the tricks, sick of the purists. For ages we misfits not talking bout what day it is. The world has made us into capitalistic fatalists, I looking around this place but can’t find the people that I came with. Will all the real truly free people please stand up, tell me somebody out there still hasn’t given up. Is this living of ours living up to the vision or does this revolution stop at your coffee cup, huh, Fuck this, I’m sick of the shit, sick of the business, sick of the world tending to be my witness, sick of pretending to be this identity hypothesis, force my metamorphosis, throw my caution to the wind with total thoughtlessness. I and I is a hungry soul, society gone bad but we need not fall so face the demons stealing into these maddening days, find them in the minds eye, take aim and blow them away. We got to purify, from the inside out. Check the bass, check the middle, check the treble but lets take this music to another level. We’re like pebbles dropping into the water causing ripples for our sons and daughters, there’s no borders, just all of us shouting orders. Today it’s spiritual this, spiritual that, tell me you heard this Presidents talking about a higher purpose. If they’re TALKING about this shit we’ve got to be LIVING it in earnest, become impervious, so the holy wars will never hurt us. One love, one god, one world, one something.. but loads of words that don’t mean nothing. You can’t fool me with fantasy

Hey, guys. I started playing cello since I was 6, and I’ve been beatboxing since high school. Since January, I’ve been trying to put the two together and see what I can do. Hope you like the first one! God bless!

Mc Xander – White Light 2008 –

Londons MC Xander has been described as a sonic shaman. A Rapper and beatboxer, this innovative artist uses nothing more than a mic, a pedal controlled sampler, an FX box and his own vocal chords to record, loop and edit the beats, sounds and words emanating from his mouth. Intricate, multilayered beats carry along sub-bass frequencies emitted form somewhere deep within his chest. Spine-tingling, almost operatic vocals merge with Sanskrit chanting and beautiful choir-esque melodies to create a platform for his conscious rhymes to flow over the top. Although most of Xander’s music has an unmistakable quality that ties it together, his vocal dexterity is a variable flow from arab-esque devotional chanting through soulful reggae crooning, to breakneck drum and bass, jumpy breakbeat and ragga stylings. Having come out of Londons breakbeat scene, he has MCd for DJs like Atomic Hooligan, Rennie Pilgrim and Eddy Temple Morris and although MCs ordinarily need DJs, Xander is not an ordinary MC. His loopstation technique to human beatbox allows him to create incredible layered compositions before adding his poetic wordflows. The result is a combination of awesomely fat human beatbox, lush vocal harmonies and inspired rhymes. Xanders versatility and near-universal appeal has seen him support big acts in the worlds of both hip-hop and alternative music. He has opened up for Mobb Deep, Whoo Kid and 3 times DMC winner, DJ Craze, as well as platinum selling singer songwriter Newton
