A treat for you Hobbit Tv viewers 🙂 I recently was invited on a tour around Scotland for 2 weeks for a company called Love Music for a festival of music for youth and was one of the best experiences of my musical career. I got to tour alongside the incredible world music band “Charming Transport Band” which included a saxophonist, violinist, guitarist, pianist and 3 Ghanaian drummers fronted by the mighty Tuba player Oren Marshall and also tour with the unbelievable Russian/Mongolian throat singers Huun Huur Tu. Two of the best beatboxers in Ottawa, and top ranking in the Nation, collab with me on this short beatbox video. Originally to be a signle take, we then decided after hours of debate and review, that it would be more fun to chop it up and show the lighter more fun side of how a small project like this comes together. Beatboxing is a form of vocal percussion primarily involving the art of producing drum beats, rhythm, and musical sounds using one’s mouth, lips, tongue, and voice. It may also involve singing, vocal imitation of turntablism, and the simulation of horns, strings, and other musical instruments.
